I know I see from time to time, some of you inviting others to drop by when they are in town. As a frequent traveler for the day job I would love to meet some of you if possible. Not sure anyone would learn any great revelations from me as I am a real amateur with around 20 builds to my name, but welcome anyone visiting my area to stop by and swap experiences. Rich Altieri, Amsterdam NY - about 30 miles west of Albany right off NYS 87. All are welcome (if you can find me in town - I travel almost every week for the day job. Gotta do something to pay for all that wood and all those tools |

Nipigon Ontario, Canada. If you look at Lake superior and find the most northern tip, The "ear of the Wolf" that is Nipigon Bay, Nipigon if just up the Nipigon River from there. |

Toronto, Ontario Canada on the weekends (otherwise Paris or Montreal during the work week). Rich, I'd love to be your way sometime -- the Albany area is real pretty especially this time of year. |

Nacogdoches, Texas--which is in the forested eastern part of the state. Which, by the way Skip, is both hotter AND more humid than any place in South Carolina. Not bragging, mind you, sort of whimpering. |

I understand Steve - whimpering is perfectly appropriate - especially when you get more than four very humid 104 degree F. days in a row. ![]() Sadly, Columbia SC sits in a bowl-like depression that seems to hold the heat & moisture close. Travel a hundred miles south & the average temperature is 7 - 9 degrees cooler on average during the height of summer. Yuck! But I bet your slice of Tejas is no picnic in simmer (oops, I mean't "summer") either! Skip |
